On making arts and training the Lexinator

After a couple of weeks, our blue girl is alright.  

Bonding with the baby-dawg has been getting a lot easier now that I've been learning Doggy Dan's side of dog/puppy training and dog psychology.

I'm getting into the habit of having her do some running before her morning meal. Lexi still jumps, but she bites my arms a lot less, and after a good run around our backyard, she's pretty calm more or less for the rest of my time outside with her. Before we let her inside for a while here and there, I have her run around outside first and chase the indestructible Nerf frisbee several times. I didn't wanna overdo it this week, because it's been so friggin hot' in the 100s, and I try to do this before noon. It will be much easier and less humid once the end of September settles in. In the meantime I make sure she gets a good drink of water while I'm out with her.

She has no "unnecessary barking" problems as of recently, at least, but I still need to implement the proper way to walk her. Again... too hot lately, but once it cools down I want to ease into that. The key is to get her energy level to a 1 or 2 out of 10 before walking, and there are steps in which to achieve that. For now though, I'm just happy she's not biting me so much. My arm bruises are disappearing, and Dad doesn't yell at her anymore. She even doesn't bother me when I pick up her poopsies... she'll walk around me in a circle, like I'm a sun and she's a little planet. Haha, awww.

Still has a ways to go, but she's getting there... We're so blessed to have her.


In terms of my artwork, I had to take somewhat of a break from working on any of it in order to get to Doggy Dan's training methods. I know that it's real important right now to interact more with Lexi in a calm way and get her to exercise outside to get out her excessive energy, but I have terribly missed drawing . I have more art of my FanFormers WarCry and Maelstrom I really want (and need) to upload soon, and I'm also nearly done with a huge BRIGADOON poster I've started on last year! It's turning out pretty cool so far. ^^ I'm starting to slowly get back into coloring these, and hopefully by sometime in September I'll have a some stuff ready to show ya!

I've also been working on art of another Mega Man X character who gets so little attention. Aside from Red (who will get more attention from me soon), I've drawn a picture of... WAIT...

I think I'll hold off on telling who that is until I upload it.

Hehe. I'm so bad...
