Developed a Taste for New Things (G1 and garlic)

In a manner of speaking...

So as the title suggests... I developed a taste for two different things, things I never thought I would bother with.

One of them is RAW GARLIC.

How did I begin liking that? Well, I remembered how Mom made garlic toast by toasting the bread first (and not just any bread but real bread, like European bread), then cutting the end of a clove of garlic and rubbing the garlic onto the dry toast... LOTS of it... before spreading on some butter or margarine. The result was a delicious garlic toast. ^^

But one time I tried it like that... and I still had some garlic left (it was a good sized clove), so I chopped it to really small pieces and sprinkled it onto the garlic toast I'd just made. The taste was spicy and biting, but I really liked it!

Mom said back in her old country she had a grandfather... or was it an uncle?... who ate raw garlic straight. Or was it an onion they ate raw? Fuck. Maybe I'll ask her later, but anyway, hell yeah! Raw garlic. I don't bite on the raw clove of course, but raw bits on a warm toast
sure does it for me.

And it's even better paired with some Limberger cheese.

The other thing I seemed to have developed a taste for is not so much new as it IS something old, but new to me. I mean, what can I say?...

I caught a couple of episodes of the

CLASSIC TRANSFORMERS!!!!

They brought it back to the Hub channel!!!

But it comes on at 3:30am in the morning/late at night! RIGHT before Transformers Prime, which I still need, that's right, NEED to get my hands on Season 3 of that show. I will, in due time.

The episode of the Classic Transformers I caught late Thursday night was "Desertion of the Dinobots (Part 1)". I know I kept saying that the show is too old for me and I'll never really get into it because of how silly and hoakey it looks, but really... it was so entertaining!!!

I was pissed that it was waaaay past the episode about Skyfire (aka Jetfire, but I prefer the former. ^^)... We missed an entire season before I found out they brought back the classic 80's show! I really wanted to see the episode of his first appearance, after learning that he and Starscream had a history together. It helped to find a good episode guide a week ago, just out of curiosity at first. But my sis and I wondered if we'd find the episode "Fire in the Sky" on YouTube, and certainly enough, it was there! (I'm surprised it wasn't removed yet after all this time.) So we saw it while we had the chance. And it was AAAAAGHHH!!!!!!!
Skyfire is so fucking adorable that I. CAN'T. EVEN.

I might try catching more episodes on the Hub when I can, but I can't stay up till 4am EVERY night.

Maaaaan... And I have to admit, I do feel a little silly watching this old stuff, but since I like Transformers so very very much, I figured I'd see something of where it first started.

So yeah, uhhh... raw garlic and the original Transformers cartoon.
